Joanne and her husband Rick

Joanne loves books, and is constantly amazed at how the stories and images can create a whole new world. As a teenager, she would reproduce and draw her favourite images from various books and posters, especially those depicting fantasy.In the last two years, Joanne has found her true passion in writing imaginative and positive fantasy books for kids, and for those who are still young at heart. Working with various illustrators allows her to bring her own stories to life.

Joanne Lécuyer lives in Canada with her husband Rick, their dog Kato and their two cats, Black Magic and Minx. In her spare time, she loves to read, write, watch movies, and spend time with friends and family.

Joanne is a member of the Ottawa Independent Writers and the Canadian Children’s Book Centre.
